Abstract

Needs for clean water of Bogor people largely fulfilled by PDAM Kota Bogor. PDAM Kota Bogor in delivering clean water using gravity so do not use the pump, unless at Reservoir Rancamaya used to distribute to zone 1. This time, clean water needs can still be fulfill by PDAM with constant. But the need for clean water always increase. To keep the needs of water fulfilled, be required for planning of Rancamaya Reservoir pump impeller for the future. In this study determined for 2025.

This planning begins by taking the data by conducting interviews and taking measurements in the field. The next, the capacity of pump at 2025 is calculated by using 3 methods that are Arithmetic, Geometry, and Least-Square and determined the best result. The next step is calculated the head of pump based on the installation of pipe. The next, determine the right measures of pump impeller. NPSHa and NPSHR also calculated to determine the potential of cavitation in the suction side of pump.Based on the calculations, the capacity of Reservoir Rancamaya pump at 2025 amounted to 31.2 ℓ/s. Values ​​of head pump amounted to 244.3 m. So the number of pumps used are 1 pump for the main pump and 1 pump for backup pump. And obtained the right impeller size is D1 = 115 mm, D2 = 335 mm, DN = 49 mm, dw = 35 mm, b1 = 14.3°, b2 = 27.6°, b1= 20 mm, b2 = 7 mm. NPSHa value obtained is 7.75 m and NPSHr value of 4.88 m. So there is no cavitation at the pump suction side.
